I (The Owl) have given this track as a thank you to this fantastic community of people that I have recently joined after my move from Leeds to the Czech Republic. They have been incredibly welcoming, and I want to support what they do as much as possible through my music, time, energy and actions. My track was made on 29/11/2021 specifically for this page. It was created by recording a couple of seconds of 'dead sound' and the clicks of my laptop when hitting record and then stop, then many loops, layers, effects, manipulations, EQing leads us to this little pulsing, tense oddity. If you like these odd sounds, then there is a bundle of sonic experiments loud and quiet, fast and slow, lots of riffs and lots of noises, best enjoyed with headphones at theowl.bandcamp.com

This is an unused track from our work on an upcoming collaboration album under the monicker Teh(O)wl, called 'Mythology Of Nau - Introduction'. This was a collaborative track originally made by Teh(A)nu (called 'Heretic Boogie', remixed by The Owl, then tweaked more between us both, and that is now the 5th track on this release.

The release was put together to support the DIY / volunteer / collectively run Klub Futra, the event space, rehearsal, recording space and social care facility which is at the heart of the community of Orlová (its music scene and its people in general), in Czech Republic.

This EP was originally released on diysceneorlova.bandcamp.com/album/diy-scene-orlov-2021 and any money from the release on that page will go to the venue.

Since the diysceneorlova download has a price on it in order to set up the 'Buy Digital Discography' option (which has over 120 releases) to ensure its future and to help with activities, maintenance, equipment, promotion, bringing bands to the area & more, the one on this page is free to download.

To be completely honest, the owl is making some of the best experimental music out there. Morbid Beauty is awe inspiring, the sloth hammer, some of the owl ripper compilations I can jam to in the car, but then there is always this. His solo contemplative works. Whenever I need to think or just let my mind take a break from reality I will pop one of these on, put my headphones on, and drift away. (In other words, buy this album). bob-smiley
